CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, with regards to their courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are provided at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-yr duration.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements

These classes start off at NCV level 2 and the minimum amount necessity would then be Grade nine certificate with a pass in Mathematics.

At the time the student finishes NCVLevel two, they would then have attained a grade 10 certification. NCV Level 3 would be grade eleven and NCV Level 4 is grade 12.

NCV Level four is NCV engineering at the exit level, staying equivalent to a Nationwide Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade nine is on NQF level 1. Our NCV programmes start NCV amount 2 and that is equivalent to an NQF level 2.

On which sort of scholars are suited for these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that conventional education will not be necessarily the one method of becoming an artisan or turning into skilled so if a student knows from an early age what their interests are, the NCV programme is in fact properly suited for that student.
